Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is dedicated to ensuring equitable access to the food and resources people in our community need to thrive. This is not possible without the help of countless volunteers who help get food ready to go out to the community!

Prior to the event, please review the important information below:

Have you volunteered with Second Harvest before?

• Everyone who volunteers with Second Harvest must create an account on their system. If you do not already have an account, you can click here to create one.

Where is the event?

• Second Harvest Food Bank is located in MetroCenter at 331 Great Circle Road, Nashville, TN 37228.
• Free parking is available on the left side of the building. Enter through the side door by the parking lot. The door will be locked until 5:15pm. It will be locked back again around 5:40pm or so when we head back to the warehouse. If you think you will be late, leave a comment in the comments section below, and I will notify our Second Harvest event coordinator so they can let you in when you arrive.
• There will be a 3-step process for you to complete once you are inside: 1) check-in for your event on the iPads; 2) make a name tag; 3) sign in on the sign-in sheet at the desk.

What should I bring?

• Bags, backpacks, and purses are not permitted in the warehouse. If you're bringing a bag, there are free lockers available.
• You may bring your phone to take pictures and a plastic water bottle. Bottles of water are available if you forget to bring your own!
• Anyone under 18 will need to provide a Youth Volunteer Waiver which can be printed by clicking here.

What should I wear?

• Closed-toe shoes are required for all volunteers. No exceptions! Volunteers wearing sandals or flip-flops will not be allowed to volunteer.
• We suggest wearing casual/comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty!
