>> About SHALOM "J STORM" MILLER
Shalom “J.Storm” Miller is a multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning music producer, songwriter, audio engineer, music publisher, and artist manager. Originally from New Jersey, Shalom has earned recognition for his work across a variety of genres, including pop, R&B, urban/rhythmic, and gospel. His music journey began at the age of four when he started playing drums in his church, where he performed alongside renowned gospel artists like John P. Kee and The Winans. With a foundation built by his gospel-singing parents, Shalom’s early exposure to music laid the groundwork for his career.
At 19, Shalom entered the professional music scene when he was signed to Missy Elliott’s label, The Goldmind Inc., as part of the Soul Diggaz production team. Working alongside Missy Elliott, Shalom produced and collaborated with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Beyoncé, Jully Black, Gwen Stefani, Clipse, and Tweet. Over the years, his talent and versatility have garnered multiple awards and recognition across mainstream contemporary genres.
Shalom relocated to Nashville, TN, where he attended and graduated from the SAE Institute and worked as a Music Licensing Executive at BMI. He later founded Power Move Management Group, a Nashville-based management and publishing company, where he continues to work with emerging and established artists.
In addition to his role as a music professional, Shalom is passionate about education and mentorship. He teaches music technology, songwriting, and music business both in Nashville and online. One of his core missions is to empower artists with the knowledge and tools they need to build sustainable careers in the music industry.
Shalom is also deeply involved in promoting equity and opportunities for Black and African-American communities. As co-chair of the education committee with the NAACP Nashville, he works to create pathways for underrepresented groups in the music industry.
Throughout his career, Shalom remains most proud of his ability to impact the next generation of music professionals, sharing his experiences to help them find success not only in their careers but also in becoming individuals of value and integrity.
