Nashville Sci Fi/Fantasy February Cyberpunk Book Meetup

Electrified Readers,

This month, you are invited to jack into the matrix and read the ground-breaking 1984 novel "Neuromancer" by William Gibson. This novel defines cyberpunk and continues to influence pop culture and multiple sci fi genres. Although direct film adaptions of Gibson's works have had mixed success at best, concepts from his short stories and Sprawl Trilogy have been ripped off by almost everyone. The single-season 2022 Amazon Prime streaming series "The Peripheral" is an example of a recent Gibson screen adaptation that garnered modest acclaim.

The group will be at BoomBozz East (1003 Russell St.) at 7:30 pm on February 12.

BTW, as an experiment there will be a Nashville Sci Fi & Fantasy Week Four Social Gathering in January. Expect a separate announcement about that event.
