Fellow Sci Fi & Fantasy Fans,

In April, assassinate boredom by reading "Assassin's Apprentice" by Robin Hobb. Defend the throne!

BTW, when Hobb was writing the book, her working title was "Chivalry's Bastard." Thanks to a 600+ page family history written by my Dad before he passed, I know that one of my 19th Century direct ancestors was a person of some status but uncertain parentage. As best as I can tell, most of what he did was get a fancy education in the Big House alongside the legitimate children, receive preferential treatment during his military service, and marry a commoner. (She owned a shop.)

The book club will meet at 7:30 pm at BoomBozz East (1003 Russell St Nashville, TN 37206) on April 9.

-Mark, Organizer

*** You don't have to read the book to participate, but it is encouraged. Books are nominated by those present in person at the Meetup, and are selected by ranked choice vote. ***
