Pedal the Park with Friends of Shelby + PIZZA AFTER DARK

Join Friends of Shelby Park and Bottoms & Bike Fun for Pedal the Park on Monday, August 25th - & keep rolling for some pizza afterwards! 🍕 🚲

We'll do our regular Pedal the Park ride & follow up with an excursion to Five Points Pizza at Five Points. Get a slice to go & enjoy hanging out to socialize with fellow riders.

Meet 5PM - roll 5:30PM in the park; meet 7PM - roll 7:15PM from the park. Meeting point for all departures is Shelby Nature Center trailhead parking lot (inside the trestle). (If you have to drive, park outside of the trestle closer to the baseball fields.) Bring lights!

Take a ride in the park with Friends of Shelby and Bike Fun! Twice a month (2nd and 4th Mondays), we’ll cruise along the Shelby Bottoms Greenway & in the park itself starting from the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center Trailhead for a casual, no-drop ride, lasting about an hour. Free, social bike ride for ages 10+. Depending on the number of riders, we may split up into A and B speed groups.

This ride supports new and returning bicycle riders for ages 10 and up who want to learn more about bicycle riding in a no-pressure, encouraging environment.

Meet up starting at 5pm for a bike inspection and hang out. We’ll provide a safety overview as needed and check everyone’s tires. We will roll out at 5:30pm.

Got a friend who wants to ride but doesn't have a bike? A limited number of bikes are available for us to bring – drop us a line at least 48 hours in advance so we can bring a bike that fits your needs. Bikes are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. There is also a BCycle station on Davidson Street near the park entrance if you want to rent an e-bike.
