Pedal the Park with Friends of Shelby - FINAL PARK RIDE of the season

Take a ride in the park with Friends of Shelby and Bike Fun! Twice a month (2nd and 4th Mondays), we’ll cruise along the Shelby Bottoms Greenway & in the park itself starting from the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center Trailhead for a casual, no-drop ride, lasting about an hour. Free, social bike ride for ages 10+. Depending on the number of riders, we may split up into A and B speed groups.

This ride supports new and returning bicycle riders for ages 10 and up who want to learn more about bicycle riding in a no-pressure, encouraging environment.

Meet up starting at 5pm for a bike inspection and hang out. We’ll provide a safety overview as needed and check everyone’s tires. We will roll out at 5:30pm.

Got a friend who wants to ride but doesn't have a bike? A limited number of bikes are available for us to bring – drop us a line at least 48 hours in advance so we can bring a bike that fits your needs. Bikes are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. There is also a BCycle station on Davidson Street near the park entrance or at the Shelby Community Center if you want to rent an e-bike.
