Nashville Paw magazine and Animal Emergency at Nashville Veterinary Specialists are proud to co-host a FREE pet first aid class for pet guardians across Middle Tennessee!
Would you know what to do if your pet stopped breathing and had no heartbeat? If your pet suffered a broken leg, severe burn or was in shock, would you be able to care for him or her?
Animal Emergency at Nashville Veterinary Specialists, in partnership with Nashville Paw magazine, is offering a free Pet First Aid Class! You do not need any previous medical training to attend. The class will teach you basic CPR, mouth-to-snout rescue breathing, how to treat for shock, splint a broken bone, control severe bleeding and protect burns from infection. You will learn to assemble a special first aid kit for your pet, and will receive handouts on common hazards facing our four-legged family members.
The class is free to attend, but you must register since seating is limited.  Please do not bring your pets to this class because Nashville Vet Specialists has strict infection control procedures to protect the sick animals being treated there.
Light refreshments will be served.
