Regular Monthly REI Meeting: Camino de Santiago with Mary R

The Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of St. James, is a network of ancient pilgrimage routes across Europe, all leading to the shrine of Saint James in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. It is a very popular destination, and a bucket list item for many folks.

For our August meeting, Nashville Backpacker organizer Mary R will show and tell us about her journey along the Camino. If you've ever thought about, or even heard of, this pilgrimage, and want more insight into the experience, come on out and listen to Mary regale us with the tale of her adventure.

Mary has been a valued member and organizer for Nashville Backpacker Meetup for many years now. Having spent many hours on trails and around campfires with her, I can assure you that making the trip to REI for this presentation is absolutely worth it.

Nashville Backpacker Meetup meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Brentwood REI community room. Organizers and guest speakers will present on a variety of backpacking and outdoor related topics. These meetings are free and open to the public. This page will be updated with the specific topic and presenter a few weeks prior to the event.
