Easy Trip to South Cumberland - Fiery Gizzard

Hey everyone. I’m taking my dog on his first backpacking trip so planning a very easy hike to Father Adamz campground. This is a .5 mile hike from the car and you will need to carry in your water.

We will meet at the trailhead at 11:00am
We will set up base camp and then can hike and explore the trail more.

If you want to hike the entire Fiery Gizzard to camp that is an option, but please let me know so I know not to wait on you at the trailhead. I’m happy to help shuttle people back to their cars Sunday if needed.

Well behaved dogs are welcome. The fee is $5 for reimbursement of campsite fees.

There is a free map on Avenza. This is a “go at your own pace” hike. Everyone should have a map and be able to navigate independently.
