Come celebrate my birthday with me and hike part of the GA AT!
5/6: Im driving down after work and camping at Neals Gap (optional)
5/7: Park at Byron Reece trailhead (.4 mile from Neals gap) lots of parking during the week but may fill up on weekends
***9am shuttle to springer from Neal’s gap 7.4 miles Hawk Mtn Campsite (can continue onto the shelter if desired)
5/8: hike to Gooch Mtn Shelter 15.8 miles
5/9: (Happy Birthday to Me 👸🏻) hike to Lance Creek 24 miles
5/10: Lance Creek to Neal’s Gap 31.4 miles (Blood Mtn is this Day)
I’ve reserved a shuttle $75/4 ppl ($18.75 per person) I have one spot left
Wodora is reserving another shuttle but don’t know how many seats yet (most shuttles I’ve researched out there only have 4-5 seats)

This trip is for experienced backpackers and need to have your own gear and navigation. I would recommend FarOut for navigation.
This is black bear country and if camping between Lance Creek and Neal’s Gap you’ll have to have a bear canister this time of year.
