Bitcoin: The Invention of Digital Scarcity

Hosted By
Daniel H.

Details
How can something that is digital be provably limited in supply?
We'll discuss:
- Before Bitcoin, it was thought to be impossible for something digital to be scarce
- How did bitcoin solve this problem?
- Why is this a major breakthrough in computer science?
- How can an individual verify for themselves that the bitcoin in existence is limited in supply?
We'll briefly cover these items for 10-15 minutes before an open conversation.
Feel free to come as you are. No question is too simple, basic, or advanced.
Note: This is an educational and friendly meetup. We'd love to help you get a better understanding of bitcoin so you can decide for yourself if it's something you want to continue to learn more about.
Location:
Von Elrod's Beer Hall & Kitchen - 1004 4th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37219
