Although little known, this is one of the cultural gems of modern Dublin. An Góilín means an inlet and implies a quiet refuge from storm or noise (similar to 'Cuan'), and of course it's the name of the west Cork village known in English as Goleen.

There are no instruments or microphone, just 'a capella' singing. Everybody will be asked if they'd like to sing. Songs are traditional/historic and sung in Irish or English, and often in both (macaronic songs). The club motto is 'We have no standard in singing, just in listening. Fáilte is fiche roimh chách.
