What we’re about
I currently have a successful Meetup group in Manhattan, the "Manhattan Fine Wine and Dine" group. But sometimes I'm out on Long Island and like to eat out at nice restaurants so I'm setting up this group and loosely basing it on my NYC group, sadly without the wine, because I don't want to Uber/Taxi to all the restaurants!
For this group I'd like to host one or two dinners per month, almost always on the North Shore of Nassau County. They will be 6 person dinners. Depending on membership and how this works out, I may increase it to 8 people.
Some of the restaurants I am considering are: Jonathan's in Huntington, Two25 in Locust Valley, Juniper in Westbury, Cafe Testarossa in Syosset. I'm also open to suggestions!
At dinner, you are welcome to pay by credit card, providing the restaurant will take multiple cards (which I will know and include in the event description) or cash. Each member will be responsible for paying for their dinner, plus 33% to cover the tax and tip.

Back to Two25 in Locust Valley
Two25 Restaurant, 225 Birch Hill Road, Locust Valley, NY, USAs the 2025 Holiday season progresses, let's get together for a Pre-Christmas, first Night of Hannuka dinner.
Join me as we return to Two25 Restaurant in Locust Valley. They bill themselves as a Modern Italian Cuisine restaurant. I've eaten there before and I love the decor, and the food. There is also plenty of parking near the restaurant. Here is a link to their menu.

This is a 6 person event. A nice number to allow everyone to talk with everyone else at the table. BUT...IF there is a waitlist, I may try and expand to 8 people.
Some notes and group rules:
I don't know how many credit cards they will accept (I'll try and find out in advance), so please bring cash, or be prepared to pay me via some sort of electronic payment (Zelle or Venmo works great).
Everyone will be responsible for paying for their own meal, plus tax and tip. I recommend 33% to cover both the tax and tip.
