Ottawa Voyageurs Walking Club

Hi and welcome to the Ottawa Voyageurs Walking Club Meetup group! We're happy that you found us.

As we all strive for a healthier lifestyle in these busy times, walking is an easy, cheap, and fun part of your health and fitness plan. For over 30 years, we have been walking all over Ottawa, Nepean, Kanata, Orleans, and other parts of the National Capital Region as well as areas of Eastern Ontario.

Come join us and you will see parts of the Ottawa region that you would not normally visit. The walks take between 1 to 2 1/2 hours depending on which walk you choose (5 km or 10 km). The trails are on city streets as well as on forest trails.

The Ottawa Voyageurs Walking Club is a member of the Canadian Volkssport Federation. We believe that walking is not only healthy physically, but also mentally. We usually walk in a group so it's a great way to make new friends and connect with interesting people.
All you need is the desire to walk, comfortable footwear, and to dress appropriately for the weather conditions.

For those of you who want to join us for a social afterwards, we usually pick a nearby restaurant for a bite to eat or a coffee.

A fee of $2 is charged for participation in each wak. This covers administration, publicity, and insurance fees.

We welcome new members should you wish to join us. We have fun annual trips that you may also enjoy. Annual membership fees for for the Ottawa Voyageurs Walking Club are $15 per adult.
