Normally this workshop is to give you another tool to work on your "stuff" with. And it is effective when used that way. But this presentation will be different: It will focus on bringing about a peaceful resolution in favor of saving the Earth and the Missouri River from further destruction.

You will have some latitude in how you style your shield and the message it carries, but its purpose will be to first stop the pipeline. After that, you may choose to focus on alternative energy, population reduction, the break-up of multinational corporations, ground-up revision of the US banking system, and so forth.

A select population of Medicine Helpers will be suggested, but you are also free to work with any you feel would work best for you. This will be a group effort, through individual shields that you will use every day until the black snake is gone.

Materials will be provided as well as handouts (we will not be using the 62 page shields manual.) This is by donation. It is our objective to go to North Dakota mid-January 2017, so your support is greatly appreciated.

About Grandfather Rick:

Rick McBride is mixedblood Tsalagi (Cherokee) who has walked the Red Road for over 30 years. He was named Cante Lute (Schan-tay Lou-tuh) by the spirits through his sundance chief, which means Red Heart. He is a sundancer and has been traditionally trained and authorized to lead ceremonies, such as inipi (purification lodge), prayer with the Canunpah (Pipe), drum healing and so forth. He has been publicly teaching these ways for some ten years now. Workshops and lectures are one way to learn from the wisdom of Indian Country. Ceremony brings this knowledge to life. Combined, teaching and ceremony render practical guidance to everyday living. And so, Rick sees his role as that of "translator" of indigenous ways so that mainstream-educated people get the full benefit of these ways. It has taken him years of dedicated interaction with many Elders, as well as his activities as ceremonial leader to get to this place in his life.
