Our ability to become that good, clear "Hollow Bone" gives the healing energy of Spirit a direct path into our lives to affect healing of body and mind. In this circle, I will teach you how to prepare as a Hollow Bone, a skill that can help you make a deeper connection to Spirit. The drums both call to the spirits and create a path as we ask them for healing.

In over two decades of public drum healing circles, I have seen many profound healings take place and have come to realize we have much more power to heal ourselves and others with the help of Spirit's energy and guidance. When I drum over a person, I literally follow the drum where it wants to go and play it as it directs me. Leading inipi ("sweat" lodge) and participating in so many other ceremonies has helped me to develop and hone this awareness.

There is no charge for Ceremony, but donations are accepted to support the continuation of the circle. It is traditional for women to wear skirts or dresses to Native American Ceremony. Please arrive promptly; it is important for everyone to be present at the start of the Ceremony.

Rick McBride is mixedblood Ani'yunwi'ya (Cherokee) who has walked the Red Road in ceremony for over 35 years. He was named Cante Lute (Schan-tay Lou-tuh) by the spirits through his sundance chief, which means Red Heart. He completed his 17th sundance last June on the Cheyenne River Res. in South Dakota and is traditionally trained to lead ceremonies, such as inipi (purification lodge), prayer with the Canunpah (Pipe), drum healing and so forth.
