ABOUT THE ANNUAL CUPCAKE RUN! 5K
The Cupcake RUN! is a super-fun annual event in support of the development of healthy, happy girls. In addition to gathering girls together in the name of fun, fitness, family, friends and philanthropy, this event illuminates the impact of childhood obesity, for which African American girls and other girls of color are particularly at risk. The Cupcake RUN! is a celebratory event which aims to address barriers to obesity with a family and community approach to fitness that creates opportunities to exercise safely and consistently. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to support the work of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation here in Atlanta.
