Listening Circle

Details
I am hosting a Listening Circle at the North Manchester Public Library from 6:30 to 7:30 in the Conference Room. In these times of grievous violence in the Middle East, it is time to restart the public practice of heart-centered dialog, wherein we learn to see each other as humans. This is a trial run for building local community solidarity across people's various differences. I also call these "Small Town Peace Talks."
I will bring my trainings from NonViolent Communication, the ManKind Project, Restorative Circles, and Firekeeping to co-create an empathy-rich safe space. The agenda, after a brief intro, is three rounds of sharing: 1) safe-share talking stick (no cross-talk), 2) listening for the Spirit (no cross-talk) and 3) empathy practice (cross-talk facilitated to emphasize empathic listening). We'll then have a quick closing offering gratitude.
This is a free event. If there is interest in further networking, we can meet for a bit outside or at a nearby spot. All are welcome.
