About us

This group is geared toward parents or anyone who knows anyone that has Attention Deficit Disorder or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The closest CHADD group for parents with ADD/ADHD children is in Mecklenburg County, and I wanted to start a group that is in Union County and open minded about more natural solutions for their children. This group will meet as needed, and we as parents, educators, or family members, and will delve into topics such as natural solutions for treatment, nutrition, alternative medicines, possible causes of ADD/ADHD, how to cope and parent a child with ADD/ADHD, and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and diet. I am not a doctor, so I can not be diagnose or treat any children. I am just a parent with ADHD myself, and I have a daughter with ADHD. I would like to give parents more resources and more reasons to research natural approaches to this disorder, and help them on their journey of understanding their children more fully. I want to inform parents of other ways of treating this disorder, and ways of looking at it differently, instead of looking at it as a Disability, an Ability!
