Join us to hike the beautiful Catskill 35 highest peaks. 10 miles. 2700ft elevation gain.
This challenging hike covers the highest peaks in the Catskill Mountains: Slide Mountain, Cornell Mountain, and Wittenberg Mountain. The trail offers breathtaking views, rugged terrain, and a rewarding experience for experienced hikers.

  • Slide Mountain (4,180 feet): the highest peak in the Catskills. Offers spectacular views from the summit. The trail is steep and rocky.
  • Cornell Mountain (3,860 feet): known for its challenging rock scrambles. Provides excellent views, particularly from the "Cornell Crack." A rewarding peak with a sense of accomplishment upon reaching the top.
  • Wittenberg Mountain (3,780 feet): features one of the best viewpoints in the Catskills. The summit offers expansive views of the Ashokan Reservoir and beyond. The trail includes steep sections and rocky terrain.

Location:
First, we will meet at Phoenicia East Branch Trailhead parking lot, 951 Woodland Valley Road, Phoenicia NY 12464 (next to Woodland Valley Campground)

Then shuttle fewer cars to Slide Mountain Trailhead parking lot, 1991 Oliverea Rd, Big Indian, NY 12410, where we will start our hike.

Two parking lots are about 30 minutes far away.

After finishing the hike, we'll shuttle back to the Phoenicia East Branch Trailhead parking lot.
