Join us on a 3-day summer camping trip in the Adirondacks, and hike to Indian Head and Rainbow Falls, two of the most iconic sights in the Adirondack High Peaks region! This beautiful loop is rated the number one trail in the Adirondacks on AllTrails. This route is about 11 miles with 2000ft elevation gain, and will take us through lush forests, past serene lakes, and up to the dramatic cliff overlook of Indian Head, with postcard-worthy views over Lower Ausable Lake. We'll also go to the breathtaking Rainbow Falls, one of the most stunning waterfalls in the region.

We will stay at Indian Lake Islands Campground. Indian Lake Islands Campground is rated 4.9 on Google reviews. We’ll paddle out by kayak or canoe to the campsite on Indian Lake, where we’ll spend time surrounded by pristine water, forest, and mountain views.

Itinerary :
Day 1: arrive at noon, and we will paddle to the campsite, set up camp, group dinner & campfire (campground provides paddle rental service)
Day 2: Early start to hike Indian Head & Rainbow Falls. This trail is about 11 miles and 2000ft elevation gain with an incredible view.
Day 3: Easy morning. Pack up. You can optionally swim, paddle, or take an easy hike. Depart by noon.

Fees: $49 per person for two nights and three days. Firewood costs will be split among the group. Everyone is on the waitlist until you finish paying.

What to Bring:
Personal camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, etc.)
Kayak/canoe rental (available from Indian Lake Marina)
Dry bags or waterproof containers
Water-appropriate clothing, rain gear, and swimwear
Rain or shine event
