Invasive Plant Workday at McKethan Lake

Details
The Withlacoochee State Forest needs help fighting an infestation of invasive plants at McKethan Lake in Brooksville. We will meet at the west end of the lake, accessible by a paved road. From there we will hand-pull caesarweed, a fast-spreading invasive plant that is threatening natural areas in Florida. Work will be done OFF-TRAIL around the water's edge. Sturdy pants, closed-toed shoes, and sun protection should be worn. Water will be available.
OPTIONAL ITEMS TO BRING: Water bottle, gloves with grip, pruners/clippers, bug repellant, wading boots.
