About us
Calling all nature nerds—and anyone who wants to explore and learn more about the natural world! Join us for relaxed 1–3 mile walks through parks, preserves, and other natural areas in Westchester and beyond. Together, we'll observe, discover, and discuss the plants, animals, and larger ecosystems surrounding us.
We will do some birdwatching, some insect searching, some plant discerning and more using tools like iNaturalist and field guides to help us identify and learn about what we find.
The group is led by a former Urban Park Ranger and Master Gardener, but no prior knowledge or experience is required.
Bring your curiosity, your questions, and an appreciation for creatures great and small. Our goal is to build a local community of people who enjoy exploring, understanding, and caring for the natural world—both close to home and beyond.
