Hybrid means that participants are both in person and online.

The discussion will be held at the Diogenes Makerspace in N. Austin near the intersection of Metric and Howard Ln. This is in the same building as the club Colette occupies. The entrance is the door at the far left of the building. When you enter you will be in a shop space, proceed upstairs. We'll go over what scientific papers are, the various kinds, and how to find them on the topic(s) that interest you! This will be about current research results that aren't filtered through news media who typically won't have any depth of familiarity with the topic and often get key facts wrong. If you get your news from popular magazines, then this will let you get a month or two head start. Feel free to bring your laptop and play along with the discussion focusing on your interest, you won't need anything other than a browser and maybe a text editor if you want to take notes. Note that if the discussion is lively we are not constrained by the hour timeline. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.
