Learning How to See: Rediscover Your Creative Inspiration

Details

Every nature photographer, no matter how experienced or passionate, goes through creative droughts. Maybe the excitement you once felt while shooting has faded. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by pressure to produce “great” images, or you're doubting your abilities or talent. Maybe it just feels like a chore to get out the door with your camera.

If you’ve been feeling creatively stuck, disconnected from your work, or unsure of what you’re trying to say as a photographer, you’re not alone. And more importantly, you’re not stuck forever.

The truth is, inspiration doesn’t come from chasing new locations or buying new camera gear - it comes from noticing what’s already in front of you

Join professional nature and landscape photographer Meredith Fontana for a virtual presentation where you will be invited to reconnect with your creative voice and see the world through your lens in new ways.

This isn’t a technical workshop about camera settings, post-processing, or cliche shortcuts to creating better images.

This is a talk about ideas and practices that will help you shift your mindset, feel more inspired to create, and reconnect with who you are as a photographer.

In this talk, you'll learn how to:

  • Understand the difference between looking and seeing, and why it matters for your art.
  • Identify and overcome common limiting beliefs that leave you uninspired.
  • Reconnect with the intuition and creativity that you were born with.
  • Develop daily practices to train your eye and build consistent creative momentum.
  • Cultivate visual mindfulness as a tool for creating meaningful work.
  • Embrace imperfection, experimentation, and the unknown as essential parts of the creative process.
  • Move past fear, comparison, and the need for external validation.

You don’t need a new lens, a dramatic landscape, or the perfect light to create meaningful images. Everything you need is already within you.

There will be time after the presentation to ask questions and connect with the instructor.

Price: Free!

How to Register: Once you RSPV, please click on the Zoom link provided and fill out the short registration page. You will then receive a Zoom link to join the live event.
