Condors at Bitter Creek NWR

Details
The Friends of California Condors Wild & Free are having a Roadside Condor Viewing event at 10, where you can to learn about California Condors and possibly see some out in the wild! The sun gets pretty high by then, so let's meet at 9 and look for condors and possibly elk, eagles, hawks, and other wildlife in the area. Hudson ranch road goes through the Bitter Creek wildlife refuge, and offers beautiful views of the hills. It's a nice drive while you look for wildlife. It's also on the way to Pine Mountain Club, a quaint community about another 30 minutes east.
While it's not the greatest time for pictures, it's a good time of day for thermals, which the condors love to ride. Also, as the day gets warmer, heat distortion will impact your images. This is a great opportunity to practice a few photography skills, like birds in flight, and practice new techniques with your gear.
Gear: I recommend the longest lens you have and a tripod/monopod if you have one. If you're into landscapes and macro, bring a wide angle or macro lens.
Other items to bring: Water, sunscreen, layers of clothing, a hat, a chair, shade screen like an umbrella, and snacks. It'll be sunny in the 60's-70's.
I will likely get there around 7:30/8:00 and drive around for a while looking for wildlife, let me know if you'd like to meet or if you have any questions. My number is 8056105527 (Don't know what the signal availability is there).
