Ellevated Hike - Little Granite Mtn Loop from Metate w/Empty Bowls Fundraiser

6.9 miles 1200 ft gain
We'll start out with the 2.6 mile, 900 ft gain hill. We'll meet at the top, by the gate, if people get spread out on the hill. We have a good bit of downhill and then an uphill before the end of the hike.

Ellevated hikes are very fast-paced hikes with very few breaks. They are typically 10ish miles & 1500-2000 ft gain. The pace is 3.2-3.4, and a bit slower on uphills. You can always pass on long uphills.

The free version of Meetup is sufficient to RSVP for hikes. Hikes leave on time, regardless of RSVPs, because sometimes people just plain forget.

Friendly dogs are welcome.

You are responsible for your safety, so please honor your body. That being said, we won't leave anyone in the woods.

Afterwards, the Empty Bowls Fundraiser is at the Prescott Courthouse Square. It starts at 11, so if you go right after the hike, the timing should be right (about 10:20 to get in line). The cost is a $25 donation for a handmade bowl & two bowls of soup from local reataurants. We go every year and I'll pick up my daughter on the way into town. This day is Shiva's 5th birthday. The picture is of him at Empty Bowls 2 years ago. He can be a bit of an excited handful, but he would love to go as well. So, he may be with us.
