Ellevated Hike - Aspen Creek to Thumb Butte

*Please don't use the Meetup link to find the trail. Please enter "Aspen Creek Trailhead" into Google Maps. It is off Copper Basin Rd, after it turns to dirt, on the right.
11.8 miles, 1929 ft gain, out n back with a loop as the turn around point
We'll leave Aspen Creek and go gradually downhill until we get to the 33 loop at Thumb Butte. I'll be heading up the paved side, but you can always head up the dirt side & save yourself the grueling .65 mile, 560 ft gain.
We'll meet back up after the 33 loop and head back the way we came to Aspen Creek.
Ellevated hikes have a fast pace. We'll average 3.3 on easy terrain & everyone can take the Thumb Butte climb at their own pace. I wait at intersections and have no problem stopping for a quick break. We will take a snack break at Thum Butte.
