Shane suggested that we visit some historical sites in honor of the U.S. 250th anniversary. We will start with a walk in Olustee Battlefield Historic State Park taking the interpretive trail. There is a reenactment of the battle the following weekend (Feb 13th-15th) but I prefer to go when it is quiet and not crowded. If this sounds good to you, meet me at the parking lot at 9:30. We can walk the mile-long interpretive trail and also walk the Nice Wander Trail and a section of the Florida Trail that traverses the park to make it around 4 miles total. There is no charge for the day I am scheduling this walk but if you do go for the reenactment the next weekend, it is $12 per person.
Here is a web site to find out more information about the park:

Afterwards we will go to Shirley's Restaurant for some lunch.
