Retirement Home For Horses at Mill Creek Farm
Details
Hopefully it hasn't gotten too hot for a visit to the Mill Creek Farm. For those who like to walk, we should be able to cover about 4 miles while feeding the horses and various other animals. What a nice way to work out :-)
Bring water, hat and sunscreen.
We will meet along the fences to the left after you go through the entrance. We will start walking around 11:10 to give time for everyone to get through the entrance.
To find out more about the farm and the horses, see this link:

Admission is 2 carrots but they also welcome cash donations. Some horses can't eat carrots. For those, bananas are good. Apples that are decored are also good to bring but be sure to read the signs because some of the animals are on restricted diets.
Afterwards, we will go to the Great Outdoors for lunch.
In case GPS fails you - here are directions:
- Heading north or south on I-75:
- Take Exit 399 (High Springs/Alachua exit) (US 441) off I-75
- Turn Right (West) on US 441 and follow 3/4 of a mile to traffic light at 235A (passing High School on your right)
- Turn Right on 235A and follow 2.5 mi. You will cross the I-75 overpass
- After crossing overpass, turn RIGHT at GREEN SIGN marking entrance to farm
