Forests are quietly mysterious, grounding, and deeply restorative.
A walk among the trees is more than just exercise , it is therapy.
βNature offers the most accessible and effective healing freely, yet too often ignored in modern life.β
- Professor Dr. Qing Li (MD, PhD)
The worldβs foremost expert in forest medicine and the leading researcher in Shinrin Yoku, shares:
π βThe forest is like my mother β a sacred place, a gift to me from the divine.
It is a paradise of healing.
To study the benefits of forest bathing is my lifeβs work.β π

According to Dr. Qing Li, a leading researcher in forest medicine, forest bathing supports both physical and mental wellbeing by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress hormones, and enhancing immune function, particularly through exposure to phytoncides, the natural aromatic compounds released by trees.
βThis is not exercise, or a workout. It is simply being in nature, connecting through our senses β sight, smell, touch, and sound,β writes Dr. Li.

Western red cedar is not just a tree.
She is a grandmother spirit, known among the First Peoples of the Pacific Northwest as the Tree of Life β not in metaphor, but in reverence.Cedar offered everything: shelter, warmth, healing, and ceremony.
Her gift was unconditional service.
She protected the living and tended the dead.
Cedar branches were hung over doorways and carried during spiritual cleansing.
In forest therapy, she reminds us:
βYou are safe to feel. You are safe to be.β
To stand with Cedar is to stand with wisdom, protection, and the memory of love that gives without seeking.
There will be guided meditation and sensory attunement activities.- Meeting Points
