Foraging wild plants for food, medicine and such. Stroll and talk, not "hike"

Free Event!
This is the best time of year to start foraging. There are only a handful of active green plants in the winter so it's much less confusing. Then as the seasons progress you'll identify the new ones as they pop up. Easier to learn that way, and you'll see how plants and nature changes over time.
From a survival stand point, winter is the toughest time of year if you are hungry. But there are plants, trees, nuts and critters about.
I'm planning to bring some acorn bread. Mmmm maybe. We will also go over some basics of staying warm and not dying.
We'll meet in the parking lot of Bryn Coed preserve of Natural Lands Trust.
1869 Flint Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425
If you've never been to Bryn Coed it is a magnificent preserve, well worth a trip.
