Rooting for KC: Tree Planting Canopy Crew
Details
"Branching" out with Bridging the Gap and Heartland Tree Alliance - Volunteer Tree Planting
Have you ever looked at a giant oak and wondered what it felt like to be the person who put it in the ground? Now's your chance! Navigate to Nature is gathering a special "Canopy Crew" to join the volunteer group for a morning of dirt, dreams and discovery. No experience is necessary. All tools and training are provided, we provide the labor of love.
Sacred Exchange:
Trees are the literal lungs of KC. As we tuck them into the earth, we're literally securing the very air we breathe. There's a quiet, profound joy in knowing your hands helped create a future source of life.
Grounding Your Spirit:
In a world that moves at 100mph, digging into the earth forces you to slow down. It's a grounding reset, a moment to reconnect with yourself, the land and the community around you.
Awe-Filled Play:
We're bringing our joyful, playful energy to the workday. It's informative, its rewarding and honestly..... its just fun to play in the dirt!
We're joining Bridge the Gap and Heartland Tree Alliance's mission to create a healthier, more resilient KC by adding fresh roots to our urban spaces - We'd love you alongside us for the adventure!
I'll see you in the wild!
Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet/dirty, sturdy closed toe shoes and your favorite work gloves.
