This is a very picturesque hike through enchanting woodlands and past quintessential English countryside and across the famous Pooh Bridge.

Highlights

Pass through the quaint village of Hartfield, synonymous with AA Milne author of Winne The Pooh

Walk though Five Hundred Acre Wood and cross Pooh Bridge

Walk along the delightful river Medway and cross the river Grom

Pass the picturesque St Michael's Church, Posingford wood and walk along the High Weald Landscape Trail

STATS

Distance: 19 km (12 miles)

Terrain: A mixture of woodlands, countryside lanes, fields, some ascents but not difficult ones. Make sure you have good hiking boots

Bring a packed lunch and water

There is a free car park at Ashurst station
