Can you imagine Artificial Intelligence without Image Processing? The simplest answer is NO. Computer vision is an interdisciplinary field that deals with how computers can be made for gaining high-level understanding from digital images or videos. From the perspective of engineering, it seeks to automate tasks that the human visual system can do.

Computer vision is concerned with the automatic extraction, analysis and understanding of useful information from a single image or a sequence of images. It involves the development of a theoretical and algorithmic basis to achieve automatic visual understanding.

And to give a kick start to this field, Nuts and Boltz takes an initiative through this workshop.

Duration: 2 Days / 12 Hrs

Agenda:
Introduction to Image Processing and Computer Vision.
Introduction to Images. Pinhole Camera, How an image is created.
Beginning with OpenCV
Loading, Displaying, Writing images.
Other basic features: Drawing, Drawing using mouse, trackbar to control values.
Core Operations like Access individual pixels, Image Properties etc., Image addition, blending, Playing with brightness, contrast.
Image Processing
Different colorspaces (RGB,HSV etc.), playing with colour Geometric Transformations, Image Thresholding, Smoothing and introduction to filters.
Finding Image Edges, Image Contours and Image Histograms.
Image Feature and Description
Basics of Image Features and Descriptors.
Feature Matching.
Object Recognition
Face Recognition
