This event will take place on Saturday, December 14, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM EST at the Durham County Main Library, 300 North Roxboro Street, Durham, NC 27701.
We are honored to feature an exceptional lineup of speakers:
- Yvette Carnell, Founder and President of the ADOS Advocacy Foundation, who will provide insights into the Foundation’s work, the ADOS Empowerment Project, and the form reparations should take.
- Dr. Freddie Parker, Emeritus Professor of North Carolina Central University, who will delve into the end of the Civil War and the failure of Reconstruction in North Carolina.
In addition, there will be a special presentation on a proposed ADOS Political Academy, inspired by the “To Be Known” Rites of Passage Program for children descending from U.S. Chattel Slavery.
