First Day Hike and Cleanup

Join MST volunteers for a First Day Hike and a cleanup along Falls Lake and Ellerbe Creek. Learn about the conservation and restoration efforts of the Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association as we work alongside each other to clean up a critical area along the shoreline. We will hike about a half-mile to the worksite to collect debris. We will hear from Ellerbe Creek volunteers about the history of stormwater litter deposited here and the efforts being taken to clean it up.

Dress for the weather. Long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Bring water and maybe a small day pack to carry. We provide gloves, grabbers, bags, and buckets to use during the cleanup.
