Big Sweep Paddle Cleanup-on Falls Lake

Join us for a paddling litter cleanup on Falls Lake.

Register under PUBLIC event "Watercraft Falls Lake Holly Point Paddle: Wednesday October 7th, 9-12.

Please arrive at 8:45 for sign-in. Volunteers should park at the parking lot above the boat ramp at 14500 New Light Rd. Wake Forest). restrooms and picnic tables are available on site.

We will meet at the Holly Point Campground Boat Ramp to sign in, review the paddling route, and assign boats and supplies. Volunteers will launch from the ramp to begin the cleanup and return by approximately 11:45 am to unload trash and load boats.

We will provide watercraft's, paddles, PFD's, dry bags and all cleanup supplies for those that don't have their own. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own watercraft (no motorized boats allowed)
Space is limited for this cleanup.

Please come prepared with closed toed shoes, drinking water, sunscreen, hat and clothing appropriate for the weather and work. A towel and change of clothes is recommended.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Each participant must sign a liability waiver. In the event of bad weather the rain date will be Tuesday October 13th, from 9:00am to 12:00pm
