Join us on a slow contemplative hike along the Pilot Mountain State Park's Ivy Bluffs Trail. Our founder John Muir disliked the term “hike” and we will take time to enjoy the trail and let the river and forest speak to us. This is a part of the Yadkin River section of the park that is seldom seen by visitors. The trail will be a total of 2 miles with less than 200 feet elevation gain. It is rated moderate and will have a stream crossing with stone steps. You will need hiking footwear, rain gear, water and snacks.
We will meet at the Ivy Bluffs Access Area parking.
Participants will need to sign the Sierra Club waiver.
Participants are invited to join us for lunch in East Bend after the hike.
