Knight-Brown Preserve Slow Hike
Details
Join us on a slow, contemplative hike in the Piedmont Land Conservancy's Knight-Brown Preserve. Our founder, John Muir, disliked the term “hike,” and we will take time to enjoy the trail and let the river and forest speak to us. We will take time to breathe, walk mindfully, touch, listen, look, and heal. We will hike portions of the Poet's Walk, Running Pines, Fern, Leatherwood, Creekside, and Beechwood Bottom Trails. The length of the hike will be about two miles and will be moderate. You will need hiking footwear, rain gear, water, and snacks.
We will meet at 221 Waterfield Ln, Stokesdale, NC 27357. You can parallel park in the cul-de-sac at the end of Waterfield Lane or along the edges of the wide road.
We will have time for snacks after the hike at the trailhead picnic tables. Participants will need to sign the Sierra Club waiver.
