You’re invited to a public information session to learn about recent water quality findings in Southeast Durham and what’s next for our streams and watersheds.
💻 Virtual Option:

Why Attend?
City and County staff will share results from recent field visits, where they collected data from the watersheds of Stirrup Iron Creek, Lick Creek, and Brier Creek. This work helps us understand stream conditions and plan improvements that benefit people, wildlife, and plants. You’ll have a chance to interact with the project team, ask questions, and learn about next steps.
Your input matters
If you would like to get involved beyond attending the info session, consider joining the Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG). The SAG's goal is to help extend the reach of community engagement efforts by previewing select educational materials and amplifying City-County advertisements for public engagement opportunities. People interested in participating in the SAG are asked to complete a brief application. Completed applications should be sent to Laura Smith at [laura.smith@durhamnc.gov](mailto:laura.smith@durhamnc.gov "mailto:laura.smith@durhamnc.gov") by January 30.
