American Indians in NC: Sappony Spotlight

Kara Stewart, a member of the Sappony Nation, will speak to us about it, its history and current status. The nation is indigenous to both North Carolina and Virginia, mainly in the piedmont regions. According to the NC Department of Administration there are 9 recognized Indian nations in NC, and the Sappony is one of them.
This meeting is a Zoom “hybrid” meeting. We will meet at our regular venue, Extraordinary Ventures (EV), where the program will take place. Doors will open at 2:00pm and our program will start at 2:15pm. We will also Zoom the meeting.
