Francine Stephenson will speak to us and show us a documentary about how Johnston County stopped the Atlantic Coast Pipeline from coming through their community. The Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League, which Lois Gibbs created, provided a grant to these citizens to help with the fight, and that was crucial to their success. This meeting is a Zoom “hybrid” meeting. We will meet at a different venue than our normal one. We will meet at the Carrboro Civic Center (108 Bim Street, Carrboro, NC 27510) where the program will take place. We will also Zoom the program.
