What we’re about
This group will focus on NC's medical cannabis bill, the fourth year of lobbying our legislators, the efforts we are making and steps to take to assure the passage of this necessary legislation as soon as possible this year.
We will be holding educational events, our first at Firestorm Books and Cafe, Commerce Street, Asheville on February 15, 2013 from 7-9 pm, we will be showing the documentary, "What If Cannabis Cured Cancer", for interested parties, showing more documentaries as the legislation progresses and asking members to make phone calls and send emails and letters on a regular basis, but especially when things are approaching a vote or a major decision in this bill.
For the 4th time, a bill has been introduced into the NC House of Representatives. On Jan. 30th, 2013 a bill was introduced by Rep. Kelly Alexander to implement the NC Medical Cannabis Act so patients in our state can finally enjoy safe, legal access to medical cannabis.
