Y-DATA Meetup #19
DS career paths: advancing beyond your first role

Hosted by Samsung Next
We are excited to announce the first offline Y-DATA meetup since Covid-19 break. Let's meet together at an awesome location and talk about career path in Data Science. We missed you a lot.

Talks are in Hebrew

Intro:

As the Data Science field is growing and booming, paths to learn and advance into it are opening up to accommodate the demand, and multiple paths in for different backgrounds are drawing increasingly large numbers of professionals in. With the huge pace of growth, there is a multitude of paths available to try and enter it and heated discussion about their relative pros and cons, however, fewer attention is granted for the steps that follow. What does the career trajectory of a data scientist look like? What are the next steps after landing that first position? Where do you go and how do you develop beyond that first post?
As more and more data professionals are reaching this career milestone, with a few years of industry experience as data scientists and looking for the next step, we invite you to join this meetup to take a look at varied perspectives on the subject. We'll feature a panel discussion by a team of talented industry insiders, who come from different backgrounds and are taking different trajectories into the future. As part of the discussion each of our panelists will discuss her path through the field, her choices in the past and future trajectories she can see and plans for, as well as thoughts and insights on potential growth opportunities available within the data science field.
