INTRO TO SALSA INSTRUMENTS & RHYTHMS
Join us Saturday, MAY 16th, for an Introduction to Salsa Instruments & Rhythms with the incredibly talented
TOMAS MORALES!
Tomas is a professional Latin percussionist who has performed on several stages in the U.S. as well as internationally. He has also performed locally with some of our very own Omaha bands, including Andy Williams and the Nebraska All Stars.
Tomas will be explaining, along with musical demonstration, some of the Percussion instruments, such as congas, bongos, timbales, clave and cowbells, that form the backbone of salsa music. Understanding salsa music is a fundamental aspect of becoming a proficient salsa dancer. By familiarizing yourself with the key elements of salsa music, actively listening to the rhythms and melodies, and allowing the music to guide your movements, you can develop a deeper connection with the music and become a more expressive and dynamic dancer.
