Grunt, Yeoman, Yo, and Bower

Details

This meetup will feature combo sessions on workflow tools:

“You can use Grunt to automate just about anything with a minimum of effort. If someone hasn't already built what you need, authoring and publishing your own Grunt plugin is a breeze. The less work you have to do when performing repetitive tasks like minification, compilation, unit testing, linting, etc, the easier your job becomes.” —This talk will be presented by the venerable Mr. John Hobbs (@jmhobbs (https://twitter.com/jmhobbs)) of What Cheer (http://whatcheer.com/). If you have a dog, check out their new startup Pack (http://packlove.com/)! He also blogs at velvetcache.org (http://www.velvetcache.org/).

“After Grunt we will take a look at Yeoman. It incorporates Grunt as part of a workflow strategy for developing modern web apps with best practices in mind. We'll take a look at the other pieces that make up Yeoman - Yo for scaffolding, and Bower for package management, then do a run-through of a sample app from creation to deployment.” —The second half of our meetup will be presented by the gentlemanly, scholarly NebraskaJS coordinator emeritus Andrew Wirick (@amwirick (https://twitter.com/amwirick)). He is one half of Goodtwin (http://goodtwin.co/) and a world-class homebrewer.
