ICE OUT for Good.
Details
[Sorry for this extremely late notice.
Only noticed e-mail advertising event yesterday.].
Please consider joining this vigil
in remembrance of Renee Good who died 7 January, 2026 while observing ICE police deployed in her Minneapolis neighborhood.
An ICE agent shot Renee, an American citizen, 3 times - at least once in the head - point-blank through her SUV’s windshield, killing Ms. Good instantly.
She had no previous criminal record, & is survived by her 3 children (lages 15, 12, & 6), her partner & her mother.
Recent videos strongly refute the Trump admin’s claim that Renee was a “domestic terrorist” & that she had used her SUV in an attempt to “run over” the 10-year Border Patrol veteran.
In an unprecedentef action, federal authorities have barred state & local authoritues from any inquiry
into the facts of this tragedy.
This event is being sponsored by Indivisible Cobb/Marietta.
Friends from N Fulton County & surrounding areas are invited to join us in a peaceful, non-violent action.
(3,500 to 4,000 of people from the area participated in our Oct. 15, 2025 No Kings event at the same intersection.)
Let’s pay tribute to a poet & writer, to a gentle spirit known for blowing a whistle when lCE came uninvited into her neighborhood.
Feel free to bring & display signs respecting the memory of Renee Good.
We will meet on the sidewalk at 4219 Roswell Rd. adjacent to Firestone Complete Auto Care in Marietta, GA, 30062 at the intersection of Johnson Ferry Rd.
Free parking is available either in the Target lot nearby or across Johnson Ferry Rd. in Publix’ lot.
Local & county police will be monitoring our peaceful assembly professionally as they have done with past events.
Follow all lawful commands.
Be advised that open carry of
weapons is legal in George.
Stay on the sidewalk & out of the streets during this 1st Amendment-protected activity.
Avoid any counter-demonstrators & let trained marshalls distract & deal with them.
Be prepared for the weather…. 44 degrees, sunny, but windy.
I will be wearing a yellow kerchief (from my 10/15/25 “No Kings” participation), a yellow vest & my red ball cap.
“Hang together or we shall hang separately.” - Ben Franklin.
See you there.
