Finishing your qualification is the easy bit. Getting someone to hire you in a tough labour market is the hard part.
Simon Ferrari has spent over 30 years in ICT, and has hired graduates, mentored them and watched many of them become stars. In this talk he shares the ingredients that set people apart as they begin their careers, and (spoiler) almost none of them are technical.
Expect stories about curiosity, hospo, selling, networking, bravery and a skateboard-toting student from Balclutha. You'll leave with a whole new way to think about your value to employers as you head into interviews.
Open to all NMIT students, whether you're in the digital stream or another area, final year or not.
Bring your curiosity. Questions are very welcome.
