Garden Volunteer Day! Harvest, plant giveaway, and beautification

Details
Whoo!!! The garden is growing so fast! We have to get it back under control! Our Urban Learning Garden plot is a focal piece of Sunshine Community Gardens, and it attracts a lot of visitors and garden explorers, so we want to keep it at its best. Please come help out Saturday as we dig in!
Workplan:
- Harvest beans, tomatoes, etc.
- Share basil and pollinator plant starters
- Do some weeding in the beds and walkways
- Collect pollinator plant and veggie seeds to share among volunteers and community seed libraries
- Lay more wood chips in the walkways.
- Plant additional milkweed in our Monarch Waystation beds in preparation for autumn migration
We will sign off on community service hours for students, etc. who need them.
As always, well-behaved kids and canines are welcome to attend. We have tons of tools, but you may want to bring your own gloves if you have them.
See you Saturday!
